Biography

Dr Jennifer O'Neil is the Programme Leader for the MSc HRM (pt) and prior to this served as the Programme Leader for BA Business Management degree (2019 - 2022)

Her areas of research interest are focused on the sociology work and employment, with special interest in: Skills development, flexible work, precarious work and career transitions.

Recent externally funded projects have explored 'Precarity and free labour of mental health counselling practitioners and trainees' and 'Emotional labour of counsellors and psychotherapists working online during Covid-19.'

She has extensive Teaching and Learning experience via, UG and PG Programme Leadership, Quality provision and enhancement, Professional accreditation of programs at Masters level, a focus on student experience and employability and championing mental health & well being in the curriculum and on campus.

She is a member for the Centre of Mental Health Practice, Policy and Law Research at ENU and is passionate about cross-disciplinary work, which can impact policy and stakeholder experiences of employment, training and career transitions.
