Our recent research in festivals and events includes the provision of inclusive experiences for all; the development of socially responsible festivals and events policies and practices; and developing greater understanding of how stakeholders work to develop and deliver economical and environmentally sustainable festivals and events.

Our research focuses on the development of creative experiences to enable sustainable, diverse and inclusive audience engagement across the range of potential audiences to visitor attractions and World Heritage Sites.
Our research involves applying a critical lens to the study of tourism, hospitality, festivals, and events, using physical and virtual auto-ethnography, postmodernity and semiotics to explore mobilities, challenge conventional spaces and question narratives.
Our recent research has considered the mechanisms and relationships in the provision of tourism, hospitality and event experiences to enhance inclusivity, accessibility, adaptive capacity, wellbeing, engagement and healthy ageing.
