Victoria from the USA talks about her life at Edinburgh Napier University.

"After being a student at Edinburgh Napier for some time now, I can honestly say I would recommend the University to anyone."

After being a student at Edinburgh Napier for some time now, I can honestly say I would recommend the University to anyone. Not only is the academic experience top notch, but the resources that the school provides are beyond helpful for your professional goals and your social life. I have met so many friends at the University events, and some of these people have become my best friends. Through the Edinburgh Napier part-time work fair I was able to secure a part-time job, and network with future full-time employers. On top of this, the staff are always checking how I am doing and how I am enjoying my course. I know that if I needed anything, I have the Universities support.

"My course has ended up exceeding my expectations and I am so happy I chose it"

I picked Edinburgh Napier, because my course really caught my eye and I liked how helpful the admissions staff were. I had a million questions since I was picking a university outside of my home country, but they did a great job at easing my fears. However,I was still a bit nervous about my course because I had no acadmic background in international marketing but I knew this it was the course I wanted to study to achieve my professional goals. My course has ended up exceeding my expectations and I am so happy I chose it. Not only are the modules interesting, but they are challenging and really test my academic skills.

"Edinburgh is rich with history, culture and things to do. You'll never get bored here!"

I fell in love with the city when I first visited Edinburgh during my undergraduate degree. I was surprised that even though it was very cold and a bit overcast, it was still such a beautiful city. Edinburgh is rich with history, culture and things to do. You'll never get bored here! When I'm not in class or studying, I love to just walk around and explore. You can always find a new shop, cafe or pub to hang out and it makes the city always feel brand new to me. Although there is so much to see, I would also recommend visiting all of Scotland. So far I have been to Glasgow, Loch Ness, Loch Lommond, Inverness and Aberdeen. However, I still have more places to visit on my list!

"After I graduate, I plan to stay in Edinburgh and find work."

After I graduate, I plan to stay in Edinburgh and find work. I know that being from the USA it can be difficult, but I am positive that the networking I will do through Napier and the skills I gain will help me in this goal. Ultimately, I would like to work for a companies marketing or public relations department. I am very passionate about this and I hope I have the opportunity to travel through my work.
