Funded by the legacy of philanthropist and friend of Edinburgh Napier Ian Tomlin, the Ian Tomlin Music Scholarships support students experiencing financial hardship.

Ian Tomlin PhD Music Scholarship

Successful applicants will receive up to £5,000 per annum, up to a maximum of three years (up to £15,000 in total) towards the study of a PhD in Music at Edinburgh Napier University. The Scholarship is towards fees and will be applied directly to the successful student’s fees account.

  • You must be a current, matriculated student at Edinburgh Napier University
  • You must apply through the Find-a-Fund portal
  • To be considered for this funding opportunity, you must first complete the questions listed within the General Application and the Living Costs Questions. Ian Tomlin Scotland Music Scholarship

One-off scholarships to Scottish students currently enrolled on any full-time undergraduate music degree at Edinburgh Napier University who are experiencing financial hardship.  

  • You must be a current, matriculated student at Edinburgh Napier University
