Scoping exercise to inform the development of an education strategy for the Children’s Hospice Across Scotland (CHAS)
  The aim of the scoping exercise is to inform the development of an education strategy for CHAS relating to the delivery of palliative care for babies, children and young people (BCYP) and their families in Scotland.
Objectives:
1) Identify the education and training requirements of practitioners and professionals working in the field of BCYP palliative care, including care support workers and related roles.
2) Identify and describe existing education and training provision within children’s palliative care across the UK including hospices, undergraduate and postgraduate nursing, medicine, social work programmes and NHS settings.
3) Provide recommendations for the development of an education strategy within CHAS which can inform the future research agenda and influence the delivery of a national approach to BCYP palliative care education and training.
