Improving interoperability, interconnectivity and sustainability of logistics and supply chains through digital technology innovations
  This project aims to develop a competitive Horizon Europe research proposal focusing on the implementation and evaluation of digital innovation demo pilots in logistics and supply chains to enable more sustainable, interoperable and interconnected operations. The project will facilitate the expansion of the core group of a consortium which comprises of the Austrian Institute of Technology, the University of National and World Economy, Edinburgh Napier University, Aston Uni, Frankfurt Uni of Applied Sciences and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. These organisations will use their combined expertise in technology and social sciences to address the complex challenges related to the adoption of modern digital technologies and their implementation in organisations, particularly SMEs, to achieve more sustainable, efficient, responsive and resilient business operations. Besides the widely accepted benefits of digital innovation, some of the key challenges that hinder the successful adoption and implementation of new digital technologies within organisations will be evaluated.
