Biography

I am an experienced academic and a fully qualified lawyer (Czech Bar exams 2011) who specializes in EU law and EU regulatory affairs. I have combined experience from academia and business, which allows me to provide clients with highly researched and informative advice and to provide students with an insight into the practical application of theoretical knowledge they are gaining during their studies.

I completed my a Master's of European Law Cum Laude (LLM) in 2009 (Maastricht University) and a doctorate in EU Law in 2014 (Charles University). During my academic career, I have always tried to develop students' skills and knowledge, so that they are better prepared and equipped to enter practice.

My academic research has primarily focused on the nuances between EU and national laws and its impact on the application of EU norms in the national legal order. Thanks to my experience as a lawyer, counsel/advisor and EU lobbyist for both public and private sector, I am able to combine theoretical knowledge with practical application and thus help fellow legal professionals, and practitioners beyond the walls of the academic world, to better understand the esoteric area of EU law.

In 2015, I was appointed as an expert member in the Committee for EU Law at the Legislative Council of the Government of the Czech Republic.
