Biography

Dr Anna Bak-Klimek is a BPS Chartered Psychologist (Teaching & Research Route). She is currently a lecturer involved in teaching on a number of Undergraduate & Postgraduate Programmes e.g. Healthcare Management, Mental Health Nursing.
Areas of research expertise include systematic reviews, quantitative research approaches and mixed methods. She is passionate about adapting psychological interventions for improving mental health of populations affected by long-term health conditions (e.g. cancer) and developmental disabilities. She currently supervises 2 PhD students in the area of mental health & interventions development.
Anna also has a professional diploma in cognitive-behavioural therapy and postgraduate certificate in person-centred counselling. She has experience in delivering psychological interventions to migrant and student populations. She is currently a Volunteer Psychotherapist at Arkordia – a Scottish Charity offering low cost, psychotherapy, art therapy, and counselling services to those on low incomes. Anna is currently working towards BABCP Accreditation.
