Overview

This Dual Degree programme presents you with an opportunity to experience learning and teaching activities in two Universities in Edinburgh (UK) and Nice (France), resulting in a unique and extremely rewarding experience. Upon the completion of the programme, you will be awarded two degrees: MSc International Marketing with Tourism from Edinburgh Napier University and Le diplôme de Formation Supérieure au Management Spécialisation (International Marketing with Tourism) from IPAG Business School.

The Dual Degree programme provides an academically robust and professionally useful Master’s programme which will equip you with the knowledge and intellectual capabilities to successfully commence or develop a career in international marketing within the tourism sector. The modules in this programme have been carefully selected to prepare you to work in international tourism organisations and understand the day-to-day practice of international marketing in the tourism context.

The experience of living and studying in two countries with different cultures, customs and environments will not only kick-start your career in international tourism marketing but also prepare you for working within international tourism organisations. You will meet and work with students from different parts of the world, and subsequently, you will have an opportunity to develop your own international network.

Course details

You’ll develop organisational and business skills as well as an understanding of digital marketing brand management, intercultural communication, tourism and the ability to develop strategic marketing plans.

You’ll gain transferable skills such as project management, research, time management and presentation methods.

You’ll learn alongside other international students and be taught in English, so you don’t need to speak French to apply.

Dr Agata Krowinska

Agata is a Lecturer in Marketing at Edinburgh Napier University. She is the Programme Leader of MSc International Marketing Suite. Her research interests include digital marketing, consumer engagement and artificial intelligence in marketing.

Dr Clidna Soraghan

Clidna is a Lecturer in Marketing at Edinburgh Napier University. She is the Deputy Programme Leader of MSc International Marketing Suite. Her research interests include critical marketing, consumer behaviour, and social marketing.

    How you’ll be taught

    This is a one year full-time course starting in September and is split up into three trimesters.

    In Trimester 1 (Sept-Dec) you will study in Edinburgh, UK.

    In Trimester 2 (Jan-April) you will study in Nice, France.

    In Trimester 3 you can conduct your Dissertation in Edinburgh or Nice and supervised by an Edinburgh Napier’s Dissertation Supervisor.

    You’ll learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials and independent study.

Entry requirements

The entry requirement for this course is a Bachelor (Honours) Degree at a 2:2 or above.  We look for applicants to have a background in any discipline in order to be eligible for the programme.

We may also consider lesser qualifications if you have sufficient professional work experience within the industry.

If your first language isn't English, you'll normally need to undertake an approved English language test and our minimum English language requirements will apply.

This may not apply if you have completed all your school qualifications in English, or your undergraduate degree was taught and examined in English (within two years of starting your postgraduate course). Check our country pages to find out if this applies to you.

The course fees you'll pay and the funding available to you will depend on a number of factors including your nationality, location, personal circumstances and the course you are studying. We also have a number of bursaries and scholarships available to our students.

The University offers a 20% discount on Postgraduate Taught Masters programmes to its alumni. The discount applies to all full-time, part-time and online programmes. The discount can only be applied to year one of a full-time Postgraduate degree, any additional years are exempt from the discount. For part time Postgraduate degrees the discount will apply to years one, two and three only and any additional years will be exempt from the discount.
Please note that the tuition fees liable to be paid by EU nationals commencing their studies from 1 August 2021 will be the Overseas fee rate. The University offers a range of attractive Tuition Fee bursaries to students resident in specific countries. More information on these can be found here.

The discount for Edinburgh Napier alumni can only be applied to year one of a full-time Postgraduate degree, any additional years are exempt from the discount.
