What is Micro Mentoring?

Micro Mentoring is a short-term, 3-month programme designed to support graduating students who are entering into an uncertain labour market.

We are looking for volunteers to mentor the newest members of the alumni community.

"I was lucky enough to have a mentor after I graduated myself and I remember how helpful the whole experience was for me. Becoming a mentor was a way to give back, especially during times where we all need to help each other."

Katherine Terao, MSc Business Management & Marketing 2013; Mentor, Micro Mentoring 2020

As a mentor, you would arrange regular, short meetings with your mentee and help them focus their job search, support them as they reach out and grow their professional network and be a sounding board as they shape their career plans.

We don't expect you to be a recruitment expert - unless that's also your day job - and there will still be lots of support from our Careers Service Team.

We’re proud that the ENU community is made up of people from a range of backgrounds who took different routes to higher education and have gone on to shape their own career path. By taking part in Micro Mentoring, you will provide invaluable support to students who seeking their first graduate role.
