Greetings, fellow alumni! I'm Edward Cheong, and I'm thrilled to be your Edinburgh Napier Alumni Champion for Singapore.
For 15 years China was my professional playground. I gained a wealth of experience across various industries and travelled to many fascinating cities. I’ve been back in sunny Singapore since 2015 and currently lead the HR function as Regional Head for a China-based Fortune Global 500 company. I am passionate about people development, and I graduated from Edinburgh Napier in 2022 with a MSc in Human Resources. I also completed an MBA in Global Business at Coventry University.
Beyond the boardroom, I'm a dedicated foodie, always on the hunt for the next culinary adventure. Travel, too, is a source of constant fascination, allowing me to delve into diverse cultures and lifestyles.
My connection to Edinburgh Napier University runs deep. I'm committed to staying connected and giving back to our vibrant alumni community. It excites me to connect with all of you – our remarkable graduates – and build bridges within the industry.

Lawrenz Tan
I’m Lawrenz Tan and am delighted to introduce myself as an alumni champion for Singapore. Some might say things have come a full circle for me. After graduating in 2013 with a BA in Business Management, I went on to pursue social work. After seven years, I am now delighted to apply the knowledge and interest in business management nurtured by the university to the management of a growing social service agency. After work, you can find this avid fan of Liverpool Football Club watching their games or engaging with the local supporters in the Facebook group. I am also a fan of cue sports and enjoy the occasional tipple with good food. I’m looking forward to meeting Singapore based alumni soon.
