Ankita Anand Gupta

New Delhi

Ankita Anand GuptaHello! I am Ankita Anand Gupta, proud Alumni Champion for New Delhi.

I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA(Hons) Business Management with Festival & Events in 2012 and a MSc International Festival & Event Management in 2013. My journey at Edinburgh Napier was transformative and profoundly enriching, a collection of experiences, opportunities, memories and lifelong friendships that have shaped me into the person I am today.

During my time at the University, I was a Guest of Honour and Guest Speaker at House of Commons, Palace of Westminster, Programme Representative and Panel Member for several panels hosted by ENU.

Currently, I’m E.A. to the Principal, Primary School as well as Timetable Coordinator, Primary School at The British School, New Delhi. However, my career is quite varied, having worked in law firms, diplomatic missions, event management companies as well as the fashion industry.

I have embraced the lifestyle of a luxe modern-day nomad, living in various countries including South Africa, Canada and Fiji Islands, while I also travelled to over 20 countries, thanks to my diplomat parentage.

My association with Edinburgh Napier University and the education sector has been both dynamic and fulfilling. I look forward to continuing my alliance with Edinburgh Napier, which holds a special place in my heart, and to fostering stronger connections between Scotland and India.

Riya Gote

Mumbai and Pune

Riya Gote

Hello! My name is Riya Gote, and I am delighted to be an Alumni Champion supporting Edinburgh Napier alumni in Mumbai and Pune in India. I am also a Communications Trainer and Writer, as well as the founder of Scriberlee, with headquarters in Singapore and a branch office in Pune.

I graduated in 2018 with an MSc in International Business Management from Edinburgh Napier at the PSB Academy in Singapore, following my BE in Electronics and Telecommunications from Pune University in 2016. Starting my own business was incredibly hard work, but today, I realise that it was all worth it.

I have been featured in Forbes India (October 2020) for providing quality content to global clients and named one of the Top 10 Emerging Women Entrepreneurs of the Year 2021-22 by Fame Finders. My accomplishments have been recognised in over 70 international newspapers across the UK, USA, Dubai, Maldives, Europe, India, and other nations. In addition, I was awarded "The Iron Lady of India - 2022" by MTTV India and recently voted ‘Young Marketer of the Year’ by TBF – The Business Fame Magazine at the Globex Business Conclave & Awards 2024.

Even though my firm and my work keep me busy, I do take time out sometimes to engage with my hobbies. My hobbies not only make me calm but also help me enhance my life. I love to travel and cook. Cooking is a therapy that relaxes my mind. Traveling and exploring new places make me love my life.

I’m looking forward to meeting other Edinburgh Napier alumni in India, making new connections, and helping to build a strong Edinburgh Napier University community here in India.
