This two-day online interactive workshop will focus on supporting you to refresh your knowledge, competence and confidence in the practice educator/link worker role. It will introduce and explore contemporary insights and practice issues, and enable you to reflect on the rewards and challenges that commonly arise in this role. Through attending the workshop, you will have the opportunity to interact and network with your peers, and to re-engage in practice learning.
Edinburgh Napier University has an established portfolio of social work education with a focus on practice learning. We are proud to have worked in liaison with Social Work Education Partnership (SWEP) to establish this unique learning experience for practice educators and link workers currently active in this role or considering returning to it.
Who can attend?
Practice educators and link workers who have had experience of supporting and/or assessing social work students on practice placements.
What is the commitment?
The course is delivered online over two-days: 12 and 19 May 2025 from 9.30 to 15.30. Attendance on both days is required for the Certificate of Completion.
Evidence of completion
After attending both days of the training, you will be able to download your certificate of completion.
