Sustainable Development Goal 3 Good health and wellbeing

The third of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals is Good Health and Wellbeing - to ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages.

Our research

A wide range of our research will have some connectivity to good health and wellbeing, with the following areas examples of our direct impact on SDG3.

One of our core academic research themes is Health and we have a number of research centres dedicated to health-related topics:

You can also find some powerful case studies linked to our health innovations and research:

We also collaborate widely to improve health and wellbeing outcomes. For example, Edinburgh Napier co-led research into the mental health of nurses working in critical care during the Covid-19 pandemic with important findings for service delivery and staff wellbeing.
