“I think Edinburgh Napier University is the best place to study and to develop a career.”
Edinburgh Napier University is not only going to teach you theory. It also gives students practical skills for their future career. My Future is my favourite part in the Edinburgh Napier support system. It taught me how to write a professional CV and cover letter and I had the chance to experience an assessment centre (a common step in job application processes). These opportunities are really helpful for improving employment skills. That’s why I think Edinburgh Napier University is the best place to study and to develop a career.
“The lectures teach students how to think critically and study independently.”
When I did the first year of my Life Sciences course at Edinburgh International College, I had the chance to go to Edinburgh Napier University classes. I realised the lectures don’t only teach students science knowledge but also encourage students to think critically and to study independently. Another reason I chose Edinburgh Napier was because I really enjoy doing experiments in the laboratory and doing outside research and the course structure covered everything I was interested in.

“I bought a day ticket and I could travel across almost all of Edinburgh”
During my summer holidays I got a chance to travel around the UK. That’s how I figured out that Edinburgh is the city I want to study and live in. I love Edinburgh’s architecture and the city is very relaxing. Edinburgh gave me a great first impression with its historical buildings. Some of my favourite parts of the city are the good traffic and the bus day ticket. I still remember when I first came to Edinburgh for a few days, I bought a day ticket and I could travel across almost all of Edinburgh. I was really excited and happy because I only needed to pay £3.60 and I could see so much of the city.
“My goals are to achieve a First Class degree, do a summer internship in third year and to get a job after graduation.”
My course is Biomedical Science and I really enjoy doing laboratory work so my possible future careers are Laboratory Assistant or Research Assistant. My goals are to achieve a First Class degree, do a summer internship in third year and to get a job after graduation.
Edinburgh Napier have a lot events about employment to help improve interview skills and completing job applications. I have already attended a lot of events like this and they are very useful.
